Brand Strategy

What is a brand strategy?

A brand strategy is a long-term plan designed to achieve success in your business and effectively connect with your ideal audience. It encompasses a business, and who it is at its heart and core.

What is the difference between branding and marketing?

Branding is who you are, and marketing is how you create awareness around that.

What is the purpose of a brand strategy?

A brand strategy focuses on long-term goals and sustainable growth for your client. Aside from the project, I will be able to provide you with an invaluable tool that will help you build your brand in a viable way.

Why is a Brand Strategy important to you as a business?

It serves as a roadmap to help you create and run a successful business. Brands are not built overnight; they take years and a lot of hard work. However, by investing in a brand strategy, you are gaining the tools to achieve prosperity. It provides an in-depth analysis of your current position and your desired destination; it is something you can refer to at every turning point to ensure your direction aligns with your brand strategy.

Why is a brand strategy important to me as a designer?

Ensures, as a designer, that I am on the same page as you, the client, before diving into the visual aspect of a branding project, meaning there is less likelihood of misunderstanding or miscommunication about what is desired. It allows me to craft thoughtful and strategic designs based on what I discovered in the strategy phase, acting as the brief for the visual identity aspect of the brand, i.e., the logo.

Why do I offer brand strategy?

As a strategic brand designer, it is my job to turn my client’s dream into a reality, but also to ensure what I design is what is best for my client's brand and aligns with their core values and who they are, who they want to attract and make sure it stands apart from their competitors. I am here to bridge the gap between my client’s idea and a successful business plan. Offering strategy also helps my process by ensuring that what we design is actually what is best for my client.

Where does a strategy sit in the branding process?

At the very beginning. It reveals a great deal about your client and provides vital information for moving forward.
